This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). We are based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and operate in accordance with Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

By using our Service, you consent to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our Service.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or use our Service, you may provide us with:

• Account Information: Email address, name (optional), and password when you register for an account
• Payment Information: When you subscribe to our paid service, payment details are collected and processed securely by our third-party payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

3.1 Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating our Service, including:

• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers
• Payment processors for subscription billing

These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.

4. InvestorLens for Google Sheets and Google User Data

The InvestorLens add-on for Google Sheets (the "Add-on") lets you pull InvestorLens market and financial data into a spreadsheet with formulas such as =IL() and =ILPRICE(). This section explains what the Add-on accesses from your Google Account and how that information is used.

4.1 Information the Add-on Accesses

• Your Google Account email address and account identifier (OpenID Connect and the "See your primary Google Account email address" permission). We use these only to sign you in, link the Add-on to your InvestorLens account, and apply your plan (Free, trial or paid).
• The spreadsheet you have open ("View and manage spreadsheets that this application has been installed in"). The Add-on writes the formulas and data tables you ask it to insert into the current spreadsheet. It does not read, collect, store or send the contents of your spreadsheets to InvestorLens. The only things sent to our servers are the ticker symbols, field names and periods used in InvestorLens formulas.
• Connection to an external service ("Connect to an external service"). The Add-on uses this to request data from investorlens.io. It connects to no other service.
• Display of the Add-on in Google Sheets ("Display and run third-party web content in prompts and sidebars inside Google applications"). This shows the InvestorLens sidebar and menu.

4.2 What We Store

We store your email address, your InvestorLens account identifier, your plan and trial dates, a daily count of Add-on requests (used to apply plan limits), and a session token that keeps you signed in. Session tokens are stored only in hashed form and expire after 180 days. We do not store your Google password, your spreadsheet contents, your Google Drive files or any other Google user data.

4.3 How We Use and Share Google User Data

• Google user data is used only to provide and improve the user-facing features of the Add-on, as described above.
• We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to determine credit-worthiness or for lending purposes.
• We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service (for example, our hosting and authentication providers), to comply with the law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to you.
• We do not use Google user data to develop, improve or train generalized or non-personalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
• No person at InvestorLens reads Google user data unless you give us permission (for example, in a support request), it is needed for security purposes, or it is required by law.

InvestorLens's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4.4 Removing Access and Deleting Your Data

You can uninstall the Add-on at any time from Extensions > Add-ons > Manage add-ons in Google Sheets, and remove its access to your Google Account atmyaccount.google.com/permissions. To delete the data we store about you, email support@investorlens.io and we will delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or legal reasons.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Specifically:

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter
• Usage Data: Retained in anonymized or aggregated form for analytics purposes
• Payment Records: Retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations

You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by contacting us (see Section 12).

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
• Secure authentication mechanisms
• Regular security assessments and updates
• Access controls limiting who can access personal data

However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
